Content Technology
This year the Irish Government announced a €42 million
investment for the ADAPT Centre, highlighting the
importance being placed on the impact AI will have on
every industry and aspect of society.
At ADAPT, we believe that AI has the ability to transform
how we work, live and communicate. We are passionate
about designing intelligent systems that can augment
human activity and we place the human at the
centre of our innovations. Our broad multi and interdisciplinary team includes leading experts across a range
of disciplines from eight of Ireland’s leading higher
education institutions.
Our research vision is to pioneer new forms of AI-driven
Digital Content Technology to empower individuals
and communities in their work and everyday lives. In
particular, ADAPT’s research will enable next-generation
digital engagement, across video, speech, text, and
immersive technologies, and support inclusion,
accountability and appropriate controls.
ADAPT’s work is driven by the long term goal of a
Balanced Digital Society by 2030 and we are pioneering
new Human Centric AI techniques and technologies
including personalisation, natural language processing,
data analytics, intelligent machine translation, humancomputer interaction, as well as setting the standards
for data governance, privacy, and ethics for digital
content.
We hope our research will guide the development of AI
so it has a positive impact on our lives and we hope you
